What Is MGA?

Our Vision Statement

MGA is a Christian private school that will provide a part-time, small-group learning environment in support of the students’ home-centered education. MGA teachers will, with their passion for the subject matter and commitment to excellence, engage students in the work and joy of achieving an education. We will study together the core subjects of World History and Geography, Literature and Language Arts, Science, and Math. All of our class content and efforts will be anchored by our Christian worldview, and will honor and glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Who/What/Why

  • We are a classical, Christian, private school, based on the university model. Students attend classes two days/week, and students and parents organize the rest of the student’s learning and study times. Students read, research, work, write, and otherwise prepare for classes during their at-home time according to their family’s schedule.

  • MGA is a collaborative education effort. We provide your child with part-time instruction, group interaction, guided discussions, individual and group projects, and many opportunities to learn with us and at home under your supervision. Parents provide the home structure to facilitate their students completing MGA assignments. We partner with you, and our part-time hours are designed to allow flexibility in your schedule for students to complete assignments and participate in other family activities.

  • It’s perfect for homeschooled families: homeschooled children can remain home-centered, yet be able to enjoy interaction with other students and teachers in MGA classes. Homeschool families in the North Tarrant County area (Fort Worth, Roanoke, Keller, Colleyville, Southlake, Grapevine, Mid-Cities) have many resources available to them, but driving from place to place can be time-consuming and complicated if more than one student is involved. MGA offers all the core classes in ONE place: Language Arts, World History and Geography, Math, and Science.

  • We are an affordable private school option. For many families, $8,000-15,000 tuition for full-time private school is a financial strain or impossibility. We offer classes two days/week, at $2700 annually per student. We provide the class structure two days each week, but for your at-home days, we will provide you with as much assistance as you need for structuring that time. Some parents know exactly what they want to do with their students on the at-home days, while other parents are new to the concept and very uncertain. We can show you how it’s done!

  • It IS possible to give your child a complete, classical, Christian learning environment without assuming a large financial burden. You as the parent will need to be involved, and make a time commitment, but there is nothing more rewarding than learning with your children and overseeing their training.
