"Where children benefit from group learning experiences, taught by teachers who are passionate about their subjects."

Welcome to Morning Glory Academy

A Christian Homeschool Learning Community for
children ages 5 to 15

In our collaborative school model, we provide your child with part-time instruction, group interaction, guided discussions, individual and group projects, and many opportunities to learn with us and at home under your supervision. We partner with you, and our part-time hours are designed to allow flexibility in your schedule for students to complete assignments and participate in other family activities. We want our homeschooled children to remain home-centered, yet be able to enjoy interaction with other students and teachers.

2010 Open House Dates

Visit MGA with your children during one of the following weeks:

March 1 - 4
April 5 - 8
May 3 - 6

Our Open House dates are the perfect time for your children to participate in a morning of classes, and for you to observe, and visit with teachers and directors. At an MGA Open House, you do not just visit the school in the evenings for a tour and orientation; your children actually participate in our regular classes.

Please RSVP to Susan at 817-706-9888 to visit the Grammar School (ages 5 - 11) and Leslie at 817-905-3861 to visit the Upper School (ages 11 - 16).

Current Class Times: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9am - 12:30pm

Next year, our schedule with be Mondays and Thursdays, 9am to 2:20pm, five classes per day.

New at MGA!

We have added an Inclusion Specialist to our staff! Nancy Bliss will help teachers and parents form a successful partnership at MGA for children with learning challenges. MGA seeks to be an inclusive school for a wide range of students. Some students do well in classroom environments and traditional teaching methods, but others do not. MGA provides a place for many children who have not thrived in traditional public school or similar classroom environment. We believe a part-time school provides the best of both worlds for the student: group learning opportunities as part of home-centered learning. For more information, see our Inclusion Policy page. Welcome, Nancy!

It's the best of both worlds!

Homeschool families in the North Tarrant County area have many resources available to them. But homeschooling ought to involve staying HOME more than being gone!  To drive from location to location week after week, so your kids can enjoy a variety of learning opportunities, often becomes an uncomfortable yoke. As experienced homeschooling moms, we know what that's like, and we decided we would prefer to meet our educational goals in one setting.

We're tempted to call it
. . . one-stop shopping!

We are so blessed with what God has provided our families through MGA. We invite you to get to know us by exploring this website and learning about our class content, vision, and structure. We want to make clear the mission and function of Morning Glory Academy so that you may choose wisely when considering us as a resource in educating your homeschooled children.

Contact Leslie or Susan if you have further questions.
